PUBLIC-CONDUCT STRESS TEST + METHODS CASE STUDY

A source-controlled study of what happened when damaging public claims were tested one sentence at a time.

Before you
repeat it.

I built this because public claims were being repeated with consequences that arrived faster than the verification behind them. I wanted to know what happened when the sentences themselves had to survive the complete source, correct attribution, counterevidence, legal status, causation, and correction history. Ninety propositions went through that process. Some held. Some got worse. Some narrowed. One of my own adverse theories disappeared.

90 propositions12 checks7 worked cases1 own adverse theory withdrawn
THE STANDARD

Keep the sentence only as strong as the material underneath it.

EXHIBIT 00HOW CERTAINTY CHANGES
WORDING ENTERING THE TEST

A formal investigation was opened because of the complaint.

The complaint exists. The causal and procedural leap does not survive the reviewed material.
WORDING THAT SURVIVES

A complaint was filed. The reviewed public material does not establish a formal investigation.

WHAT THE WORK ACTUALLY ESTABLISHED

The interesting part is where the confidence failed.

The study produced a record of specific claims that survived, narrowed, strengthened, stayed open, or had to be withdrawn. These are the conclusions a reader should know before being asked to learn the machinery.

01FACTUAL ERROR

The live Ungaro article says charges were never brought.

Warrant-based reporting says charges existed. The correction stops at charge existence and does not become a guilt finding.

02ATTRIBUTION FAILURE

The strongest June 29 mobilization language belonged to Parnas.

The transcript does not support transferring his broader mass-reporting and “operation” language to Leonard.

03PROVEN TECHNICAL CONSEQUENCE

Non-person strings were published as person entities.

The knowledge-graph defect moved beyond code theory into the public entity layer. Stronger downstream harm remains unproved.

04CAUSAL LIMIT

Serious Klyushin background did not prove the X-suppression mechanism.

The reason to scrutinize the allegation survived. The request-to-action bridge did not appear.

05CORRECTION FAILURE

Real repairs coexisted with a stale Barrack descendant.

The repository has a meaningful correction process and at least one consequential propagation exception.

06MY OWN WITHDRAWAL

The George Church criticism failed when I read the complete document.

The continuation page contained the material I thought was missing. That adverse theory is gone.

28 adverse / adverse-open30 mixed / mixed-open22 favorable / favorable-mixed7 open / control3 withdrawn / excluded

I was angry that this much work had become necessary.

People who were comfortable publishing or amplifying damaging claims had often done far less to verify them than the people forced to live with the consequences. I did not want another argument where everyone arrived with screenshots and left with the same opinion they brought in. I wanted each sentence separated from the surrounding drama and challenged by the strongest contradiction I could find, with the final wording forced to fit the source rather than the confidence wrapped around it. That standard had to apply when the criticism was mine too.

The result was less tidy than a revenge piece would have been. Some criticism held up while other claims narrowed, and a few concerns became more serious only at a specific factual layer. Favorable material stayed in the study when it complicated an adverse reading. The point was to see what survived after the easy parts of certainty were removed, even when the person losing a claim was me.

One sentence stays on the table until every shortcut has been removed.

The sample claim below does not disappear between steps. Watch the same wording change as ownership, source state, procedural status, counterevidence, causation, correction history, and publication limits are added.

Scroll normally. The sentence on the left updates at the step nearest the center of the screen. Nothing moves ahead until the corresponding check reaches you.

THE TWELVE CHECKS ARE FOUR JOBS

The twelve checks resolve into four different research jobs.

LIVE TESTDEFINE

SENTENCE UNDER REVIEW

Northbridge opened a formal investigation because of the complaint.
DEFINED01 / 12
PUBLICATION BOUNDARY

The sentence fails if formal-investigation status cannot be shown.

01
DEFINE

Write the exact sentence

Start with one sentence that can fail. If the wording is vague enough to survive every possible source, there is nothing to test.

Do this. Reduce the claim to one observable proposition and write down what would disprove it.

02
DEFINE

Confirm who owns the words

A genuine quote can still create a false conclusion when it lands on the wrong speaker, author, account, or organization.

Do this. Lock the wording to the person or system that actually produced it.

03
SOURCE

Save the exact version

Current pages, deleted posts, old captures, later revisions, and derivative copies are different objects. The version under review has to be fixed before comparison starts.

Do this. Save the exact page, file, post, dataset, or transcript state you inspected.

04
SOURCE

Name the kind of fact

Complaint, charge, investigation, finding, and guilt do not carry the same weight. Sloppy status language can make a weak source sound official.

Do this. Classify the status the source actually proves before using stronger legal or procedural language.

05
CHALLENGE

Build the strongest support

The test has to give the claim its fairest chance. Weak support makes a later rejection meaningless.

Do this. Use the strongest available source for the exact sentence rather than surrounding allegations or atmosphere.

06
CHALLENGE

Try to break the sentence

A claim that only survives friendly material has not been tested. The strongest contradiction belongs beside it, even when that contradiction is inconvenient.

Do this. Search for the best correction, competing source, later document, or alternate explanation.

07
CHALLENGE

Separate sequence from cause

One event can happen before another without causing it. A serious background fact can make a theory worth checking while still leaving the causal bridge empty.

Do this. Mark each causal link as observed, inferred, or missing.

08
CHALLENGE

Check whether the correction traveled

A fix on one page does not repair every copy, descendant, summary, or generated output. Correction quality has more than one layer.

Do this. Check recognition, primary repair, propagation, reader visibility, and revision history separately.

09
CHALLENGE

Remove the material that only makes it feel worse

Embarrassing associations and inflammatory detail can increase emotional force without increasing proof. That material has to leave if it does not change the grade.

Do this. Cut personal or associative detail that cannot alter the proposition result.

10
DECIDE

Grade proof and stakes separately

A serious accusation can still have weak proof. Severity does not get to lower the threshold.

Do this. Grade confidence, seriousness, and result direction independently.

11
DECIDE

Rewrite what survives

The output is the sentence that can still be defended after the challenge. The wording may survive, narrow, remain bounded, or disappear.

Do this. Rewrite the sentence so every surviving word has support.

12
CLOSE

Say what would reopen it

A closed lane should name the source capable of changing the result. That keeps uncertainty controlled without pretending it vanished.

Do this. Name the exact document or authenticated source that would justify another review.

THE OUTPUT

A complaint was filed. The reviewed public material does not establish a formal investigation.

The sentence that entered the test was stronger than the source. The final wording is narrower and harder to attack. That is the whole job.

WHAT THE METHOD IS FOR

The final sentence should get smaller whenever the evidence is smaller than the confidence.

The seven real cases below show where that happened. Sometimes the failure was the document boundary, the speaker, the procedural status, the causal bridge, the source version, a data transformation, or a correction that failed to travel.

Seven real examples show seven different ways certainty failed.

Each case is presented in the same order, which keeps the comparison on the evidence. The source that changes the claim remains visible, and the publication boundary sits directly under the surviving wording. I use the same treatment for the George Church criticism I had to withdraw. If a criticism of mine fails, it fails in public.

PUBLIC WORDING ENTERING

The current article fully reconciles its earlier circumstantial identity theory with later evidence.

THE RECORD THAT CHANGED IT

The inspected article retains uncertainty and collision language. Later WIRED provider-record reporting and DOJ Filion records add material evidence relevant to the identity question, while off-page correction history remains incomplete.

WORDING THAT SURVIVES

The current inspected artifact does not visibly absorb all later provider evidence, so the reconciliation issue remains artifact-specific.

What this shows

The same review process can withdraw my criticism, narrow somebody else's wording, strengthen a technical finding, or leave a causal theory unverified. That is the point of calling it a stress test.

Confidence becomes part of the evidence when the source cannot carry it.

The original wording stays visible at full strength. The verified wording sits beside it. The difference tells the reader what happened.

PUBLIC WORDING

Charges were never brought.

CHECK THE RECORD
SURVIVING WORDING

The current no-charge statement conflicts with reliable reporting that charges existed.

The line stops here. Charge existence does not establish guilt.
WHAT CHANGEDThe confidence was categorical. The evidence was narrower.

WHERE CERTAINTY BROKE

The failure was not always the same.

Document boundary

A continuation page killed my own citation criticism.

Speaker ownership

Broader mobilization language belonged to Parnas, not Leonard.

Source state

Later provider reporting changed what a current article had to reconcile.

Technical lineage

A parser defect reached public person entities, while stronger downstream harm stayed unproved.

Causal proof

Serious background survived, yet the specific request-to-action mechanism did not.

Legal status

A no-charge sentence conflicted with warrant-based charge reporting without creating a guilt finding.

Correction propagation

Real repairs coexisted with a stale Barrack descendant.

Ninety propositions, including the ones that help the people I criticized.

I am not hiding the favorable rows or the findings that stayed open. The full register is here so readers can see what was tested, what changed, and where I refused to go further. Favorable rows, open questions, and my own mistakes remain in the same record as the adverse findings.

5Revision history

This is why I refused to reduce correction quality to a red stamp that says wrong. The repository review found real repair work and at least one important descendant that remained stale. Both facts stay on the page, and neither gets to erase the other.

The source is allowed to prove only the clause it actually carries.

Public links open directly where a stable source exists. Held material stays labeled as held instead of receiving a fabricated public link. A bibliography entry does not give a source permission to prove an entire theory. The duty stays attached to the exact claim it supports.

WHAT I AM WILLING TO SAY AFTER ALL OF THIS

I finished with fewer claims, stronger limits, and one public withdrawal of my own.

I did not finish this study thinking every person I examined was wrong about everything. That would have been easier, and it would have been useless. I finished with fewer claims I could defend firmly, while several others had to be narrowed and one of my own theories had to be withdrawn in public. Anyone who wants to keep repeating the stronger versions can do the same work and show where these limits fail.

What I will not do is pretend that confidence deserves protection from verification. Some of the claims in this project were materially wrong, some ran further than their sources, and some exposed genuine problems only after the language was cut back to the layer that could actually be shown. That is enough to have consequences for credibility. It is also enough to explain why this page exists.
